SERIAL PORT AND NETWORK HOST
Introduction
The
Console Server
enables access a
nd control of serially
-
attached
devices
and network
-
attached
devices
(
hosts
)
.
The A
dministrator must configure
access privileges f

r
each of these devices
,
and
specify
the
services that can be used to control the devices. The Administrator
can also set up new users and
specify each u
ser’s
individual access and control privileges

Serial Port

To configure a
serial port you
must
first set the
Common Settings

the data connection to that

operating modes

Console Server
